Angel Olsen

Angel Olsen hails from St. Louis Missouri The singer-songwriter is originally from Missouri, but is now residing at Asheville North Carolina. Olsen's six studio albums include: Big Time, Half Way Home, Burn Your Fire for No Witness, and My Woman. Mothers have a natural affinity in raising their kids. [On her parents who had been with her from birth, and adopted her aged three] I'm more involved in their lives because of the decades between us. It was my fantasy to live the experience of a young person in 1930s and 1950s. Life in the private. In April 2021, Olsen came out as gay. In 2022, Olsen revealed that her relationship with partner Adele Thibodeaux had ended and that she was dating an old friend of many years and musician Meg Duffy for a few months in 2020. Olsen posted on her social media accounts that she was gay at the beginning of 2021. Born as a child in St. Louis, Missouri, Olsen began performing in the city's cafes during her teenage years soon branching out and tapping into the community of artists who share similar views. She moved from Missouri to Chicago in 2006 eventually working with California musician Emmett Kelly as part of his group called the Cairo Gang. All Mirrors, her previous album from 2019, featured deep gothic synths and dark forays in orchestral pop. Big Time marks the debut album on which Olsen sings about the love of her life. It is also her first attempt at traditional music, like country. This seems to make sense.
